Marlon Luiz Moraes (born April 26, 1988) is a Brazilian former professional mixed martial artist who last competed in the Featherweight division of the Professional Fighters League (PFL). Marlon is a black belt in Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiujitsu, He has a mixed martial arts record of 37 fights, He won 23 fights and lost 10 fights.
Marlon Luiz decided to retire from MMA after suffering seventh consecutive KO loss! That is really disappointing for any athlete to lose even more than three fights, and being knocked out seven times is really too much, and this can easily shut down the desire of fighting for any fighter, because the psychological side is so important.
A knockout does happen after being hit by a very strong attack that targets the head mostly.
Let's talk about the fights he lost!
His first knockout from the seven KOs was against CORY SANDHAGEN BY A SPINNING WHEEL KICK IN October10, 2020.
The second knockout was against Rob Font by Elbow and punches in December 19, 2020.
The third was against Merab Dvalishvili in September 25, 2021.
The forth knockout was against Song Yadong in March 12, 2022.
The fifth knockout was against Sheymon Moraes in November 25, 2022 .
The sixth knockout was against Brendan Loughnane in April 1, 2023.
And the last knockout was against Gabriel Alves Braga in June 8, 2023
Most fighters who lose by knockout had to stop fighting for a certain period that can vary between a month and two months, it depends on how serious the injury was, and we have posted some articles about some fighters who were forced to stop fighting for two months, because the injury was serious.
