The only fight that Khabib Nurmagomedov lost at the age of 17
Khabib Nurmagomedov is a well known fighter who has very good reputation in the mixed martial arts competition.
Khabib started training as a young kid with the full support of his father Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov.
Khabib has a very impressive record 28 fights in mixed martial arts, and he won all of them, 8 by knock out, 10 by submission, and 10 by decision.
Many fans do not know that Khabib had international titles in other style before being very famous in the mma competition.
One year after his mma debut, Khabib represented Russia in two Sambo World championships, one was in 2009 in Kiev and fought under 74 kg and he wona gold medal, and the second was held in Moscow 2010, he fought under 82 kg and he won another gold medal.
Moving few years back to 2005, the young Khabib was only 17 years old, and was competing as a teenage at the Russian Sambo championships and made it to the final, at the time he was representing Dagestan and his opponent was representing Chechnya.
His opponent Magomed Ibragimov was 20 years old which is three years older than Khabib.
This was the only fight that Khabib Nurmagomedov has lost.
He did well in this fight too but the referees decision gave the win to Magomed Ibragimov.
After losing this fight we can see through the video that Khabib did not accept the decision, not sure if he did not accept losing or the referees decision.
Anyway, this was not the end but it was still the beginning of a real champion who became a real star in the mixed martial arts competition.
