Kukkiwon hires Taekwondo masters to be dispatched to 13 countries around the world.
The thirteen countries include six Asian countries (Bhutan, Turkmenistan, East Timor, Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates), one European country (Portugal), two Central American countries (Guatemala, and El Salvador), three African countries (Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, and Sudan) and one Oceanian country (Fiji).

Contrary to the existing method, to reflect the result of the demand survey for the countries to which masters will be dispatched and send highly skilled masters by each field of Taekwondo, the method of hiring masters to be dispatched is implemented in two types: Type A Master for leading a national team (Gyeorugi-centered instruction) and Type B Master for instructing soldiers, police, and field leaders (Poomsae and demonstration-centered instruction).
Type A masters will be dispatched to eight countries (Bhutan, Turkmenistan, East Timor, Guatemala, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Sudan, and Fiji) and Type B masters will be dispatched to five countries (Portugal, Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and El Salvador).

Applicants can apply for desired countries between Type A and Type B countries and may submit cross-applications as well.
One master per country will be hired and the qualification requirements include those under the age of 45; holders of the Kukkiwon Taekwondo 5th Dan or higher, Master certificate, sports instructor certificate (for Taekwondo), and those without falling under any reasons such as restrictions on issuance of passports, prohibition of departure, and so on.
