At the start of May, I tested for my 4th Degree black belt without arms. I started Taekwondo when I was 11 and trained periodically until I met my husband in 2010. Since then, I've earned the Arizona State Champ title and done demonstrations in front of thousands of people.
Jeesica Cox started Taekwondo when she was 11 years old until she met her husband.

Jessica tested for her 4th dan black belt.
American Taekwondo Association (ATA Martial Arts) has supported her adaptive training (according to her).  The forms have substitutions for hand techniques. Instead of a punch, she can do a knee strike. Thankfully, Taekwondo emphasizes kicks and a lot of them! The entire armless substitution system is available for any upper bilateral amputee student to use in their local ATA school
