In recent news, Steven Seagal has made a bold statement accepting a no-rules fight against Randy Couture, with the stipulation that there are no witnesses present. This announcement comes after Couture made a half-joking comment in August about wanting to come out of retirement to fight Seagal. While Seagal's response may seem like a bit of a publicity stunt, it has certainly captured the attention of the mixed martial arts community.

During a recent appearance on The MMA Hour, Seagal stated that he has been a martial artist his entire life and believes in the essence of learning how to fight and being a warrior. He expressed confusion over Couture's intentions and motivations in making the comment, as he had always considered him a friend and a gentleman. However, Seagal made it clear that he is willing to engage in a fight with Couture at any time and any place, as long as there are no witnesses. He also emphasized that the fight would not be held under MMA rules, as he does not believe in playing by rules. While Seagal claims to be a man of honor and a gentleman, he also identifies as a warrior and seems eager to confront Couture in a no-holds-barred setting.

This surprising turn of events has generated significant interest within the MMA community, with many wondering if the fight will actually come to fruition. Some have expressed skepticism about Seagal's motivation for issuing the challenge and the feasibility of arranging such a fight. However, others are intrigued by the potential spectacle of two iconic figures from the martial arts world engaging in an unconventional and unregulated confrontation.

In the midst of this unexpected development, it is important to remember that mixed martial arts is a sport that thrives on unpredictability and spectacle. While some may view Seagal's challenge as a bizarre and unlikely scenario, others see it as a captivating and intriguing possibility. Regardless of the outcome, the situation has certainly added a layer of excitement and intrigue to the world of mixed martial arts.

As the MMA community continues to speculate and debate the implications of this situation, it is clear that the prospect of a no-rules fight between Steven Seagal and Randy Couture has sparked widespread interest and discussion. Whether it ultimately materializes or remains nothing more than a curious footnote in the history of the sport, the saga of Seagal's challenge is a reminder of the unpredictable and captivating nature of mixed martial arts.

  3. It will never happen. Seagal doesn't want witnesses so when he loses, he can talk his way around it.

  4. It will never happen, I can't see Segal being in shape for any kind of endurance and MMA rules fight, I don't doubt his Aikido skills, why behind closed door? You have to ask yourself. I like Segal just can't see it happening. JMO

    2. MMA rules would actually work in Segal’s favor. This fight wouldn’t last mor than 60 seconds. He’s the black belt that tells everyone, “don’t mess with me, I’m a black belt”. Steven Segal, please stop already. You’ve been ducking people for years…Van Dam is actually still looking for you!

  5. Big George Foreman wants to fight him and Seagall hasn't accepted his challenge. Seagall would get knocked out shortly. He knows it. That's why he won't accept Formans challenge.

  6. I think that Seagal is more into exhibition than he is about fighting. They are completely different.
