He won his first fight against the Malian Fofana (38 - 17), his second against the Korean Daehoon Lee (21 - 19), won his third against the Iranian Husseini (34 - 22), won his 4th against the Bosnian Husic (28 - 5), and his final against the British Sinden (34 - 29).
It is really a good beginning for any Taekwondo athlete to win an Olympic gold medal at the age of 19, but it is also a huge responsibility to stay on the top.
Unfortunately the gold medalist of Rio Olympics could not compete in this one, and probably it would be more entertaining if the Jordanian Abu Ghaush is present but we do know that he had many issues in his country then jailed and could not participate in any event.
Also we can see that the level of some elite athletes has decreased a bit such as Jaouad Achab and also Daehoon Lee.
Let's watch this short video of Rashitov of this head kick.
